corvette tax.
That all being said..... Anyone have a front splitter that will fit a 2001 for sale real cheap
This comes from a guy that bought a Callaway Honker, $500, to replace my Halltech Stinger, $199ish, to end up putting a SC on the car which has cost me all kinds a $$$$$$$$'s.

I get the impression that a lot of vendors aren't really doing the "setup for manufacturing" thing: they're farming out the production in batches that are too small to ever get to where the economies of scale bring the prices down. For better or worse, the Internet allows a very small operation to look like a much larger manufacturer even while it's still at the make-to-order stage.
You Sir are on the very edge of the naked truth. I do not wish to trash Vette vendors as a class, but have you noticed that you online buy from vendor X and the shipping lable says it came from vendor Y? Honesty and pricing would be a nice improvement!
Why don't the Vette Vendors just tell the truth?
I know a few Vette Vendors that do not play this game. JW Motoring and Double D Mods are among them. Your thread should light a fire under others,,,,,and they know who they are,,,,and we know who they are,,,,,,to price fairly the first time around! We all know Vette parts aren't free but we do know that Vette mods are not made of gold
Pricing around the internet proves my point!
I have nothing against one-man operations...BTDT. But when every product sold is effectively a one-off, the price will be higher than necessary, sometimes to the point where straight-up custom may be more cost-effective.

But where a car was made makes a lot less difference to the price of aftermarket stuff than how many of them were made: there are way more Toyotas (of pretty much any model) than there are Corvettes.
