I'm looking at a 2004 at a dealership in Houston but I live in Louisiana. How can I tell if it is the 1SC package or 1SB package in the Le Mans Blue? Does anyone know someone that would be a good person or place to check the car out in the Houston area? It also has the Z51 suspension package. It has 19k miles on it. Would 22k be a good price?
Thanks for the help and input.
I think that last year at this time that would be a great deal. Today I think it is a good deal provided it checks out and is in near perfect condition. GL
Sounds like a great deal...in this neck of the woods it would cost you a lot more. To the tune of $32K, just seen one advertised at a local dealership that's how I know. If you like jump on it.

According to Black Book info, all Lemans Blue 2004's were the Commemorative Edition. Further, Commemorative Editions had crossed-flag embroidery on the headrests, silver front and rear emblems, etc. You could also request a GMVIS by providing the VIN to Dennis Fichtner (gmpp@fichtnerchevrolet.com); it will list the option codes.
This forum has a link where you can find a member in the Houston area willing to look at a car that you are really serious about. The link is in the C5 General Sticky "Help for buying a C5...".
I recently paid 19.5K for a really nice 2004 coupe (not commemorative) with 54K mi. You did not say whether the car in question is a coupe or convertible and you don't know whether it is commemorative, so an opinion on price requires more info.
I believe it is the commemorative edition but I have to check the RPO. All signs point to it with the color, interior (shale), options and seats.
Thanks for the input.

I bought on 04 CE last March for $21.7k. It had the magnetic select ride control, plus all of the other CE options (Le Mans Blue, shale interior, 12 disc CD, dual power seats, side air bags, tilt/telescope wheel, etc.). The car had 29k miles on it. It was in excellent condition, just needed tires (had the originals), and I had the dealer turn the rotors and put on new brake pads when I bought it.
$22k should be in the ball park with the lower mileage but only IF it has all of the goodies above. I'm only missing the plexiglas top, I have the painted top only.
I just picked up a 1997 low mile vette in Dallas. I bought a vin decoder subscription which is still good. Told me all my options. PM me with your vin and an email address and I will forward the report to you. Seems like Texas has some good pricing and low mile vettes for sale. Good luck with your purchase!

The dealer listed above was able to confirm the CE based on the VIN. Thank for all the information.

I wasn't aware ANY C5s had side airbags. Mine certainly doesn't have them, just driver and passenger front airbags.
