Guys, this post/data is from April 2014...but just because I'm sitting in an airport waiting for a connecting flight home I checked in on KBB for some updated data; a 2003 Anniversary Edition Convertible for sale by private party is $18,365...a 2003 Z06 is 19,181. Both cars were with the "average mileage of 65K".
I'm somewhat partial as I have a Z16 but even this simple search shows the Zs continue to hold their value over other models. Bang for the buck, even 15 years later, these are great cars.
*EDIT...and my connecting flight was just cancelled so I have time to check other KBB price points...good times. I hate air travel. Where's my Z16 when I need it!!!!!!
In this area convertibles sell for the same as hard tops if not less. And if either is an auto, you can knock off 5k. Z06's definitely sell for the most
According to the "Corvette Black Book"...
Manual trans for $915 and 3.15 rear gear for $395...
Manual trans and 3.15 gear set?
Manual comes with 3.42, no options... can't opt for both unless I'm mistaken.
Point made overall, seems one could have originally spent more on a vert. Locally the Z sells for more at this time.
