Default 2003 Z06 vs 2003 Convertible.

Why does Kelly blue book have the convertible worth as much as the Z06 ? Within a 100.00 anyways ?. I'm talking about the 2003 models !

Because Kelly hasn't driven both....

Verts hold their value well.

The Z is the top of the line and has the most power, best handling, etc., but if auctions are running verts and Zs at similar prices, KBB and the others will pick up on that. Lots of people would rather cruise in a vert than tear up the track in a Z06. Demand drives auction prices.

Fully loaded Vert went for more than a Z new.

Two things you'll go crazy trying to do. Making sense out of Kelly BB or tying to make sense out of the government. Better men have tried and failed.

Hi; Really a 2003 vert is priced equal to a 2003 z 06. Well I have my original window sticker from my 2003 z. Standard vehicle price is $ 51,155.00 and with 1,060.00 in options and a destination charge of $850.00 total is $53,065.00... I dont think a vert sold for that or am I mistaken.

According to the "Corvette Black Book"

2003 Base Z06 $51,155.00

2003 Base Vert $50,370.00

A difference of $785 between the base models.

Add the $1200.00 ISB Convertible Preferred Equuipment group for heads up display, power telescoping steering column, etc

Polished wheels for another $1295.00

Manual trans for $915 and 3.15 rear gear for $395, suddenly we are at $54,175.00

Add another $1695 for F55 option "selective ride control" and $600 for remote 12 disc suddenly you have $56,470.00 convertible.

Still more options left not including destination charge.

My Vert also has the museum delivery option for $490.00

Like I said, I too thought the Z06 would be the most expensive, but after reading through the Corvette Black Book, I was quite suprised.

Hi; Ok I guess if I added a few options like $1,300 for polished wheels and $600 for 12 disc player and what ever other options are available for a z 06 I could be at that price too. Just got to remember that the 405 horses and better trans etc. etc are already on the z 06. I just cant figure out how to put the top down on my car..hahahhaahhaaha joke. they are close . ILL TAKE THE Z 06 My last vette 01 was a vert. just wanted a z 06. don't matter to me they are vettes..

The Z is highly rated especially by the outspoken owners. That being said I own a vert and wouldn't trade it for a Z that came with a bucket of money.
