what was previously posted at the beginning of having thick skin is true. I used to get on the forum from my phone and my punctuation was horrible and everyone would bash me for it. I apologized yet some just kept throwing the stones. I just grew skin. I am aware your not going to please everyone but what was said it true, there is a lot of bashing going on maybe because someone isn't an expert or they just don't know. either way im very grateful for the help and friends that ive gained while on the forum

IT's been a long winter for many folks and I think the bad weather has made people cranky. Nobody forces you to log on and some of the hurtful, juvenile rants get old.

Sometimes- you just need to take a break and reset your perspective.

It's all good . . .

He had gotten to the point where he would consider this thread to be a personal attack.

ET has some fans. He even chimed in to help me out when I first joined the forum in '07. He is on my friends list.

Fast forward to Aug/Sept 2013 I started a thread asking for advice on how to repair a hood. I posted a picture of the passenger corner of the hood and a picture where the hood hinges bolt into plug sert inside the hood. The hood was damaged during shipping with FedEx freight. I mentioned how they beat the box up during shipping. Another member came in offering help and advice and asked if it was an MCM hood. I mentioned yes I think it is.(Turns out its an old members hood "DARKMATTER").

ET came in the thread telling me how things work at FedEx and it isn't a MCM hood and post pictures of the underside so I can tell you. Then his side kick yello95 or whatever his name is comes in and I swear it was like a scene from Karate Kid. They went back and forth "yeah Johnny, put him in a body bag". I responded to the Azzh@ts sure. But, 1. I didn't post a thread asking if I had a genuine MCM hood. 2. I worked at FedEx for several years before I joined the Fire Dept.

ET and Yelllo95 had several posts deleted from my thread.

We all have bad days and I am not perfect for sure. I am a very ornery person. But I'm also not a jerk that post things like, "let me tell you something little boy" when someone doesn't do what I say or kiss my butt. I would rather ask for help if needed from someone like Bill Curlee or Patches and Toque too. Toque has a passion that has led him to create a web site to help us all out. Toque will debate with you(C5 jake skull) But he is great and super helpful with his knowledge.

I personally like to treat people like people on the internet and in real life. I only get aggressive with the folks that speak down and act as if their opinion is the only way.

I know ET has a lot of fans like he invented the question mark or something but I like many who don't speak on it won't miss him at all.

P.S. I got the hood fixed and she isn't going to fly off and come through the windshield like I read in some spam posted in my thread asking for help.

Boy, I've never seen something blown so far out of proportion so the haters can 'have their say'. Check my original post. I DID NOT ask for anyone's opinion of him. I've had some ups and down's with him too, but after a PM interchange I learned some details about him that explains some of the 'problems' so many people have with him. Let's just say the guy is going thru some stuff none of you would want to face. Give a guy a break and this crap about 'thick skin' is nonsense. Grow up, learn a little decency, patience and discretion.

Maybe you shouldn't discount others experiences. No one "asked" you to post this thread either.

ive never really had an interreaction with him, that's why I didn't specifically respond to the original topic. im sorry I didn't mean to upset you, I was just responding to the subject of how people on the forum can seem to argue over topics. whether that's geared toward evil twin or anyone else, im not specifically calling anyone out on that just noting how I have had experiences on the forum. so sorry if it seemed like I was going after him, I wasn't.

Great example of totally missing the point. I had PM'd him. He has not responded in the same period of time as normal, so I asked the group if anyone had knowledge of his current status. If you were uninterested in my QUESTION, then you should ignore it.

Take some of your own advice.

If you knew you would have had a problem with people posting on a forum then maybe you should have just PM'd him in the first place or bumped up one of the previous, "where is ET" threads. I don't know-but calling people haters and such because they share to me is pretty silly. I personally posted because of others comments in the thread not your QUESTION. So I guess you could say I DID ignore it. Satisfied?

I cared Devnull! I was just so shook up by your absence that I couldn't stop crying! I just stayed drunk and reread your old posts....
