So my 2002 z06 has 95k miles on it and still has the original factory clutch. Needless to say I will soon be needing a new clutch and I've decided to go with the LS7 clutch. Does anyone know the typical labor that goes into this isntall?? I have been quoted by a local garage for 11.5 hours of labor amounting to about $1,300!! This seems extremely high priced and kind of ridiculous. The place that quoted me is a highly respectable garage and they are known to do the best work around here but I don't know how I feel about 11+ hours for a clutch install . I have a friend who works at GM and says it generally takes between 5-8 hours depending on who is doing it. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!!

around a grand is about right, maybe slightly less... do it yourself and you will see why lol... it really isn't too hard there's just a lot of labor involved... if you're mechanically inclined just do it yourself and save the money while gaining the knowledge... do you plan to do any mods in the future?... just curious because if you do you might want to consider getting more clutch to avoid having to do the job again in a short amount of time

I have looked into other clutches but for what I'll be doing with the car the factory LS7 clutch seems like the best way to go. I don't plan on driving the car hard too often, might track it once or twice, but moslty plan on just cruising for awhile. And future mods are light for now. Thanks!
