Default C5 DRL Replacement

Is it easier to replace the DRLs by removing the headlights or by going underneath the car?

A guy named Junkman (Youtube video) says that it's easiest to go through the front brake cooling ports.

Have you considered disabling them? I did. The heat generated by the bulbs can melt part of the plastic housing right above them. This can start to let moisture inside the housing. You'll still retain parking and turn signal functions if you mod the relay located inside the passenger foot-well area.

Follow the link below for the how to:

Simply remove #2 fuse to disable running lights. The signal lights will not flash when you use fob to unlock but, front turn signals will operate normally.

Why disable them?
Just put in HID bulbs/ ballast, and use as intended.
If you have big hands and arms, go through the bottom, just remove the inner fender piece.

I took the access panel under the front end off when I swapped mine out. Probably a little more work, but no problem with access once the panel is off.

I did mine using the junk-mans method, put plenty of WD-40 on your forearms.

Why?

Only your hand goes in the port.
