The passenger side mats of my C5 ZO6 are really wet along the door side. Even the mat going up behind the passenger seat is really soaked. There is noe rain inside the door mechanism. Is this most likely the door seal, and the window seal along the rear edge of the window? The A/C is not the problem. Is there plugs are something in the floor that I don't know about? I need some help on this, PLEASE!!!
The air conditioning is most likely the problem. Their are bladders along the fire wall in the engine compartment that get blocked and cause the problem you are seeing. Go to the tech section and look at Bill Curlee's sticky at the top. He describes how to correct this.
Gonna bump this up. It's pretty common and there's like two places it could be from. Mine leaks to, so I try to stay out of the rain. I just haven't had the time to fix it yet.
I don't have the information you're looking for but try to do search on leaks in the C5 and you'll come up with some threads about it.
Yes it could be the AC and it could also be the seal in the passenger pillar. That's where mine is leaking because it only does it when I get caught in the rain.
I had this happen several years ago, wife got out of the car and told me the bottom of her handbag was wet from being on the floor. I checked and the rug was soaked. I first removed the passenger seat, carpet and put a fan blowing air in the car. I also made sure the fuse box and bcm were not wet inside by blowing air on them along with the fan. Set the carpet and mat out side to dry. Next I remove the drain from the air conditioner and snipped off the end, then replaced it. If you access to a lift it makes removal/ installation very easy, use some oil in the tube for easy installation. I have not had any issues since.
Every year in the spring I clean the udders, radiator before taking the car out for its first spring ride.
