Looking at the above photo, I would wager that you would dump a bunch of $$$ into the C6Z. Nothing wrong with that but you've done so much to your current ride to make it your own. Do you really want to start over?
You're asking for opinions - here's mine. Keep your C5 and your $30k. Then take the remaining $10k and supercharge the C5 and fall in love with it all over again! Unless you've already done that, then just save the $40k!

I'd keep the C5, SuperCharge the LS1, have more power, and it won't blow up.
Put the other $30,000+ in the bank.

I'd go for the Z06. That's the only C6 I would consider to replace my C5. As nice as your car is, do you think you could sell it for anything close to $35000? I think not.
