Default Guys with headers

Have you had any problems on long road trips with them installed, any over heating of other components? I'm about to head out in the morning for a long trip, first time with headers on the car.

No problems here, I've have BBK Ceramic Headers installed for about three years, and never once had any issues.

I have LG pro's and haven't had a problem. Last year I made a 1700 mile trip over to the Tail of the Dragon with no issues.

Have fun on your trip.

I've had LT headers for the last 8 years, and haven't had one issue with heat.

American Racing Headers with no problems - 3 trips from Jersey to Florida

You might want to bring a tire repair kit - my 2 cents

I have a set of Breathless Racing's Long Tube headers that are running into the factory cats. NO issues with short or long drives. Had them for about 3 years now. You should be fine.

Sit in this hot weather in Orlando all the time. If anything was going to get baked it would be down here and so far so good.

Headers, regardless of brand, aren't usually the source of heating/overheating "problems" with other components. Rather, it's ALL about the routing and/or positioning of said components relative to the proximity of the headers.

Easy as that.

LG streets for many years now and absolutely no problems ever with or due to headers. I've made several long distance trips - NJ to Fla, BG in KY, western VA, all without incidents.

LG headers plus a cam. Temps stay steady at 185-190 at all times.

No problem on any trip
HOWEVER; you do need to make sure to route any wires or lines (O2s, starter, etc) away from them or they will melt and you will have OTHER issues

Default guys with headers

I'm looking to install ARH on my 2000 c5 convertible. I already have borla stingers and breathless cold air intake. Any of you guys running headers on a convertible? How is the sound? Is it bareable on long trips or is it just way to loud? Thanks for your input.

I have a vert. Unless you are going 145 MPH you will not notice the noise...
