Hello Friends,

Anyone running Texas Speed & Performance long tubes? Cats or no cats? Any issues?
Thanks!

I had mine coated, looks a lot better, they still look new after 7 months.
It's worth the extra $. I did have it tuned, gained 20 RWHP

I bought a set of cattless ones late last year and had them coated locally. Only complaint is one of the tubes on the drivers side is hitting the steering rack shaft. Really need to get it back in to the shop and have it fixed since it rubs bad on right hand corners. Doing a google search that problem seems to only occur on GTO's. Couldn't find a thread where it happened on Corvettes.

Edit: Forgot the drivers side also rubbed on a pinch weld right after the collector which the shop fixed shortly after install.

Mine also rubbed on the steering shaft, easy fix, used a file and filed a grove in the shaft

Mines about a 1/8" away from the shaft. Was yours that close?

It looks like that tube hitting it is just too long for some reason. Sticks out like a sore thumb visually.

Mine actually touched, I've been told that it's not unusual, filed a grove in the shaft and it's good now.

I just had a set installed on my car without cats. The fit was alright but one of my o2's almost touches the torque tube. I had to cut a hole in the heat shield and its just shy of touching the o2 wires. Love the sound with stock axle back and with a blackwing and tune it made 391/384.

I have a Texas Speed Headers and O/R x-pipe. Cant beat them for the price, plus i dropped damn near a second off my 1/4 mile time with that being my first upgrade on my bone stock car. Great experience and would definitely buy again.
