Is the fan still bolted to the motor?

I may be talking out my a$$ but I read that this could be fixed by adding freon but my tech said he thought it was the actuator, or something that soundedlikethat.

That's if the compressor won't kick on usually. Does the ac still work?

And I'm not asking if the fans are in the car or not. I have seen where the plastic fan comes unbolted from the electric motor in the shroud. The motor will spin but the fan doesn't. But the motor isn't loud enough to hear over everything else, it'll just look like the fan doesn't work

The temp really only starts to go to 230 with the ac on but i know when u turn the ac on both fans are supposed to be on and its just the passenger with ac off in bumper to bumper traffic 220 so far and that day it was 70f I'm going to get under the car and check the fan motor when I pop the hood I spun the fan and it moved freely but I'm going to get under there and check if it is attached to the motor

wifes car had that same fan go bad and the end result wasn't pretty you NEED both fans.....the stock fans are fairly cheap to replace or you can upgrade and buy the SPAL fans from Dewitts....

I had my passenger side fan go out and had the same issue. I went and did the Dewitts SPAL fan upgrade and now have zero issues of cooling. These fans work great but they are not quiet. They move a lot of air.

The fans do go bad... they are not designed to run all the time. some people lower their fan lower their fan setting below the thermostat rating and that leaves the fans wanting to stay on. this practice will burn out the fans. the simplest way is to take out the fan, or apply 12 V to that fan directly to see if the fan is still functioning. If you apply 12V and nothing happens the fan is bad
