Default Do you notice this too?

I have had my C5 for two weeks tomorrow, and something I have noticed that I don't see when I am driving my Tbird, or Dakota R/T pickup.
I see more people tailgating me, and driving more aggressively when they are near me.
I guess it has to be the car, because I never noticed it when I am in one of the other vehicles.
Once in a great while I get it when I'm driving the R/T, but not enough to even think about it, but in the Vette, I see it all the time.
Any of you notice this?

Bob.

I felt the same way when I first got mine. I picked up the tempo of my driving and most of it went away. I think some of it is because I am sitting so much lower in the vette than my lowered PU and I am seeing things from a different angle.

I see not only that, but I see people coming up behind me, then they move to the drivers side, and pace me, then drop back to get a look at the right side.. of course when there are enough lanes, but because I'm conscious of my surroundings, this type of close shadowing becomes obvious to me. I've seen it a thousand times. When some one does what I call the " check out" they usually drive up on my passengers side and the driver will yell over some comment.. or if stopped at a light will engage in some conversation, usually always very complimentary... I've never had anyone say anything negative.
I have to say, I've owned a lot of nice cars, ( with similar comments ) but the attention this car gets is overwhelming.

I don't notice it any more or less than when I drive my other cars.

And you're probably six feet closer to your own back bumper.

Haven't really noticed that happening around here. We do have our share of idiot drivers, but so far no tailgating.

All the time. Especially Friday nights when the kids are out cruising. I just laugh. (sometimes at the little dot in my rearview mirror)

People around here drive very aggressive, but I notice it a lot more when I am rowing through the gears, not all that slowly I might add, that they seem to give me far less room than when I am driving my corvair which I don't drive fast at all.
