Default Window Wiring Question

On my 2001, the driver's side window intermittently will lose power to it and the ability to either raise or lower itself. I am well aware of this often times being an issue that can be resolved by slamming the door aggressively, or by tapping/whacking the door with certain methods.

My issue seems to be due to something with the wiring possibly being loose and is easily resolved by jiggling the rubber thing that protects the wires where the door hinges with the car. I have yet to have an instance where the window stops working and slightly shaking that area by hand didn't solve it.

I feel like I saw someone mention this same issue a while back here on the forum, but for the life of me I cannot find anything that covers this same issue. Google search, CF search, nothing is helping me out, possibly because there are so many other threads about the motor/regulator being frozen or things like that.

If anyone knows more information about what could be loose, or really anything about what the real problem is, I would love to hear it. Before I start taking things apart and trying to figure it out on my own, I know someone else on here has had the same problem, so I turn to the collective knowledge here.

Of course, if there is a thread about this particular issue already, a link to that would be great.

Thanks in advance.
