My right front turn indicator has failed. I need to replace it. I did a search but didn't turn up much. First, any recommendation on replacement bulb? (I assume its a bulb) I would assume autozone will have what I need?
Second, I welcome any instructions/links/thoughts from anyone who has done this repair before. I assume it's not difficult but may need to get the car on some ramps or something to get under it a bit?
You don't have to remove no wheel and liner lol. It's easiest from the bottom if you can get the car on jack stands or ramps. Afterwards, removed a couple of screws to take out an access panel to the lamp. Reach in and remove the socket from the lamp and replace the bulb. Re assemble and done. 15 minute job.

You are right. I forgot that my bulb blew-up, so I had to remove the whole assembly. I couldn't have bits of amber bulb floating around in there!

Ouch, that's no fun. I had to replace a burnt out LED down there 2 weekends ago. It definitely went by a lot faster than the first time when i installed the new turn signals and bulbs.
I replaced my drivers side turn signal bulb about 3 weeks ago. I did it from the top, raise hood, and turn on lights to open the head light door. Look down and u will see the lights. Insert your left hand/arm down throgh the opening in the hood area and U will have to release the little catch on the wiring bulb harness and rotate it counter clockwise then remove the bulb. I got mine at NAPA. Reinsert bulb install and U are done. U can also push the brake duct up and out of the way and reach in and get to the bulb but I prefer to see what I am doing from above. Good luck.

Bingo!! And here is your correct answer.. Done in 2 min.
So what am I missing here guys? I've gotten the black cover off the headlights and can get my arm down to the light no problem. Turning it a quarter turn however is proving impossible.
When standing over the car from the front I'm turning counter clockwise (I tried clockwise too). But pulling and not pulling the little clip. That click by the way has no tension on (dunno if it should). I can certainly try harder to turn it but I wasn't being particularly easy on it.
Also, on the same note, I noticed a touch of water (as in a couple drops) inside the white cover, I suspect when I did an undercarriage wash I shorted the bulb? Should I Not be doing an undercarriage wash?
U don't remove any black headlight cover, simply turn on lights to get them open so u can see down inside that area so u can c what u r doing, reach down and depress the clip and rotate counter clockwise and it should pull out. The clip just keeps the socket from working loose. Honestly i didn't know it had a clip until i rotated it, luck it didn't break off. It takes a little force to rotate if you depress the clip. Send me a pm if u still have problems and i will talk u through it or send you a picture. Make sure u r on the correct light, not on the amber running light. I looked at the opposite working turn signal light to make sure I was on the correct one. Water may have been the cause but I doubt it. Did you do a pressure wash or just hose pressure? Pressure wash could have let some water in.

Pressure wash....
The instructions from the post linked above said remove the 3 screws and the black plastic around the headlight so I did it. No big deal it's easy to put back on. I'll give it a shot to rotate it again today.
I got it, didn't take long. Honestly, I think my orientation the first time was a bit off so I was pulling at a slightly different angle. This morning it came right out. Interesting item to note, from the front of the car, I had to turn it in a clockwise position not counter clockwise but it came right out.
The real tricky part for me was getting the bulb in since there wasn't enough cable to get the socket all the way out (despite disconnecting the other light as well). So I had to finagle with fingers on my left hand through the pop up light to hold the receptacle, then push the light in (while wearing a glove) on my right hand. All in all a quick fix now that I know what I'm doing, I appreciate all the help.
Ok guys so I hate to bump my thread from a few weeks ago...BUUUUTTTT
I must have had two lights out. The right front Amber was broken so I did ok replacing that, but there's also a right front "signal" or "indicator" light that must also need changing, it didn't solve my quick pace right turn signal and when comparing the left vs right there's definitely another bulb/part that illuminates when using the turn signal.
Is this another bulb? Sub assembly? I would assume if it's a bulb of some sort I can probably use a similar/same changing procedure?
