My oil pressure gauge goes to 80 upon start up. I replaced the oil pressure censor last month. Can there be another cause other than a the censor being bad?

Wire to the sensor unplugged/loose/frayed/oil soaked/stolen by aliens?

I have also read here on the forum that they are really easy to damage during installation unless you are very careful. Don't know, but I need to do mine right now also. Haven't tackled it yet. Still gathering info.

I believe if you over tighten them they can be damaged and cause problems again.
