Also I've been having lots of battery issues lately. In my d.d. and the corvette. I think the quality has taken a big dump. Have the battery load tested, it might have some warranty left at 3 years

Sorry to rehash an old issue. Back in 2014 I had installed the LMC5 to get rid of the Service Column Lock error code on the dash. Since then, that message has not appeared again. Recently I hadn't started it in a while and when I finally did, the Service Column Lock code appeared again. The first response to this thread was that this code might be appearing due to a weak battery. I had replaced my battery 3 years ago. Could the issue be that the battery needs replacing after 3 years or do you think it will eventually go away if I drive the car more frequently? Or could it be something else?
Thanks
I also have the LMC5 installed and can confirm that the message will still pop up with a weak battery. Even if the battery is strong enough to start the car, it may still be weak enough to trigger this error. You need to keep the battery on a charger when the car is sitting for more than a week or two. To clear the error, I have had luck disconnecting the battery to reset the BCM, and then reconnecting it when the battery is fully charged.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I just disconnected and reconnected the battery and the service column message disappeared!! I will be more mindful to start/drive it more frequently.

Any suggestions on a good trickle charger?
Thanks again!!

Ctek makes great products. I have the 7002 hooked all the time to my Z06 when not on the road. The 3300 is on the Toyota but can be used on the Corvette also. Other forum members also have had good results with Battery Tender products.
