Thanks!

There are several here with MOMO steering wheels and some that put C6 steering wheels in their C5's The only real issue is that you have to be willing to give up your airbag. Swapping to a sweet MOMO steering wheel is on my soon to do list. I don't really care for the C6 wheels as they are pretty generic. The loss of an air bag is also not a huge deal for me as I drive muscle cars without any of the late model safety advancements (airbags, ABS, 5mph crash bumpers etc. ) My C5 is also not a daily driver it is a toy.
The air bag light will obviously come on after the airbag is removed but can be turned off with a resistor wired in from radio shack or I believe MOMO even makes a kit (basically the same thing at a higher cost) to turn off the light.

Here is a link for ya of one C6 wheel in a C5 trying to find a couple others that I saved. This thread goes into pretty good detail on how to do what your thinking about. Best of luck to you if you decide to go for it. I must admit this guys looks really really nice.

I'm kind of partial to this C6 wheel in particular. I want something stock looking, but nicer than our 90's craptastic stock steering wheel.

That was my thread above for the C6 wheel in the C5. The anniversary edition 2012 steering wheel is much better than the rest of the C6 options...bump grips at 10 & 2, can get it in alcantara, red stitching, yellow stitching, etc. and have the option to use the steering wheel buttons.

There was a thread exploring the possibility of fitting a functional single stage airbag to a C6 wheel. Was there any success? I would consider the swap if I could have a working airbag.
