Am I doing any damage by jacking the rear end of my '99 FRC by the middle of the rear crossmember. I need to be able to slip my ramps under the rear wheels to get the car in the air. I am going to change the rear sway bar and need the suspension level to adjust the end links. This method seems better/safer than trying to back up the ramps. Thank you in advance.

I jack from the same spot. Except i use a piece of wood all the way across the crossmember. That way there is no metal to metal contact when raising the car up with the jack or when placing the stands.

I lift the rear of my car from the center of the rear crossmember. I use a floor jack and place an 8"x8", 1/4" thick steel plate on the jacking pad to span the crossmember. Works great.
