Well hell many years ago I got caught speeding in a Prius (LOL I know) although almost every other car was flying past me! I did not argue with the cop because I knew I was wrong which reminds me of the fish thing someone mentioned earlier in this thread lol.

 

and always check your mirrors in addition to left and right....

why you and not both of you? easy....he didn't have to chase you.

chances are if you have no priors or recent offenses you can get off with going to driving school

 

yep....99% of them are envious of YOUR car quite honestly I am pretty sure they don't give a rats ***....I see every variety of car pulled over on a daily basis....pretty sure they are not envious of the old guy driving the Buick or the lady driving the Camry

I know so many "car guy / gearhead" cops it ain't funny......

 

and now......the old classic Stop or Slow Down joke....

Slow Down or Stop
A police officer (who shall remain nameless) pulled over a red Porsche after it had run a stop sign. "May I see your driver's license and registration please?"

"What's the problem, officer?"

"Your just ran the stop sign back there at the last intersection."

"Oh, come on pal, there wasn't a car within miles of me".

"Nevertheless sir, you are required to come to a complete stop, look both ways, and proceed with caution."

"You gotta be kidding me!"

"It's no joke, sir".

"Look, I slowed down almost to a complete stop, saw no one within twenty miles, and proceeded with caution."

"That's beside the point, sir. You are supposed to come to a complete stop, and you didn't. Now if I may see your license and..."

"You've got a lot of time on your hands, PAL! What's the matter, all the doughnut shops closed?"

"Sir, I'll overlook that last comment. Let me see your license and registration immediately!"

"I will, if you can tell me the difference between slowing down, and coming to a complete stop."

The police officer had enough, "Sir, I can do better than that." He opened the car door, dragged the obnoxious motorist out, and proceeded to methodically beat him over the head with his nightstick.

"Now sir, would you like me to slow down or come to a complete stop?"

 

"Oh, just slow down a bit, I think I'm starting to like it."

Ok I have to say this.... THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

 

I got stopped for doing 60 in a 25MPH zone at 5:30am. I have a 2004 Black Coupe which is in excellent condition inside and out, very clean and shiny. When the cop walked up, I said, "Yes, you got me I was speeding." He looked surprised and said, "Do you know how fast you were going?" I said, "No, but I bet you're gonna tell me." He started to write the ticket after telling me how fast I was going, then stopped. He noticed my ID Badge, and said , "Oh, you're on the P.E.T. (Psychiatric Emergency Team) Team? I replied "yes, I am the clinician and write the holds." He tore the ticket up , handed it to me and said, "Have a great day, and drive safe mam, slow down." Yes, I am a woman , but am in my 60's, so I know that's not why he let me go. Now, even when I am not on my way to work I wear my badge : - )

 

Instead of wearing the badge and doing 60 in a 25 how about just slowing down. 25 zones are usually residential areas. You know, where kids play and folks are out jogging, riding bikes, etc, etc.
