Default Valve spring options?

So I'm getting headers and xpipe and a halltech venom 2 installed in a couple of week. I figured with all the horror stories on here I might as well do the valve spring swap as well since my car is an 03z. What all do I have to buy? I know the 04 model or "blue" springs seem to be popular but anything else you need to replace as well?

What if I think I may upgrade the cam in the near future as well? Are there upgraded valve springs that are fine for the stock cam?

Thanks.

For a stock cam go with PAC 1218 or 1518 bee hive springs.
Throw in some titanium retainers if your budget allows and some Comp Hi Tech push rods too. The 1518s will also work well with most aftermarket cams also.

Call Texas Speed up. I went with their single beehive rate titanium springs, and a 228R/.588/112 LSA (mild cam, with a nice little lope and feels stock). Definitely worth it, plus their prices are VERY hard to beat.

on a stock cam LS6 blue (2004 LS6) spring are great and cheap. I think they are the same ones that come stock on the LS2 motor as well.

they are

but,

probably not the best choice if he's doing a cam upgrade later

max lift on the ls2 spring is .560

i'd figure out around how much cam you're considering, then buy a spring that's compatible.

I really want to do a mild cam if these cars can be plenty streetable with them. I guess calling Texas Speed really would be the best thing to do.

Depends on your cam lift, but I went with PAC 1518's.
I didn't want the extra weight of a dual-spring.
