Default wide body c5

hello! im new to corvette forums but i have been researching quite a bit on c5's with flares. i have bought the c6 z06 19x12 oem wheel and i was planning on going with 345/30/19 but i think im going to go with 325/30/19.i want my rear to look like oem, some have said to use 5/8 spacers and some 3/4. which ones should i use if i plan on running the 325's? ive seen a few members here with oem z06 using 5/8 but they running 345's, please someone let me know. i have already order the flared quater panels from a member here i should get my wheels tomorrow, and maybe monday i pick up my 325's if i decide to run them. thanks

I will be running C6Z backspace 20x12 rears with 345 25 20's with a 3/4" spacer and longer wheel studs. This will set them right where they are needed. Here is a pic of another members car of the exact wheel set up I have. I'm running the L5 wide fenders. I have the Z06 spyder replicas 19x10 with C5 backspace on right now with 1.5" spacer to bring the wheels out right where their needed.

You should be fine with a 3/4" spacer if your running the C6 backspace. The wheel will set and look the same from the front view. The width difference will be on the backside between the inner fender well and the back face of the wheel. Should look the same as this pic looking at it. If this makes any sense.

Here's a pic of my current set up. 19x10 with 295 35 19 tires. Car hasn't been lowered yet in this pic. Its dropped all the way down on stock bolts now. What brand flared quarters are you going with?

I am running the factory C6 Grand Sport wheels in 19x12 with 325x30x19 Invo's. I use a 1" hubcentric adapter. I am installing the Corvette Creationz rear flared quarters . The tires should sit just flush with the wheel well opening if I did all my measurements correctly. The adapter has its own studs and the factory studs tucked into hollows on the back of the factory wheels so no trimming was required. Spacers and adapters may not be the optimum way to go, but I got the wheels fairly cheap and the CCW's I want with the proper back space to eliminate the need for a spacer or adapter are a few months away budget wise.

Are you going to drop the ride height? You may need to trim back the extra material on ths underside of the flare so as not to worry about wheel to flare contact. Wheel wins every time. Pete from Carbon Creations will be making available the inner wheel well extensions to help with this issue. Post pics of your flares when mounted

3/4" spacer should be fine. I am running a 20mm spacer/ approx. 5/8" with c6 grand sport wheels. 19/12. There are the same offset as the c6z wheels. As you can see in the pic an additional 1/8" would work.

Yep aware of the trimming issue and the car is riding on Stance coil overs lowered but not slammed to the ground. I talked to Pete about the inner fender extensions as well. Also will be modifing a set of C6 Z06 mud guards for rear. Putting L5 front flared fenders on as well then off to the paint shop before pics.

Hey guys, just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in, I have an '04 Z06 and i bought my neighbors wheels off his '13 Z06, they're the 19x12 rear, 18x9.5 or 10 fronts (not sure....doesn't really matter i guess) but i just threw 'em on, no spacers, no longer studs ( i do want to put the longer race req'd studs on) just took the stockers off and threw on the new Z wheels and they fit almost perfectly, they stick out just a smidge less than .5 inches, they dont rub or hit the fenders, suspension, or wells....and it looks BAD ***!!! even with the tires just peeking out from the fenders

I would strongly suggest not using any spacers. It changes the moment of angle in the bearings and put much more load on them. problems wont happen over night but because the bearing specs are so tight, changing the geometry by using a spacer will over load the bearings. Others will argue this point.. But GM
doesn't use spacer to correct for mis-speced wheels.
What you should have done was order wheels that are designed for your C5 with 2 inch flairs.

My 345/30/19 on 19 X 13 CCW 505w with the correct backspacing to allow me to use my rear brake ducts and 14 inch rotors with no spacers, placing the MOA exactly where is was with the stock wheel .
People who make spacers have an audience in people who do not understand suspension geometry. As an Automotive design I would never use a spacer to move the wheel off the designed center line.

No spacers 345/30/19 on CCW 19 X 13

Heres mine 18x12 z06 replicas with 58 mm offsets on a 345/30/18 with 7/8 bolt on spacer.lowered and had to trim inside lip to 1/8 inch left.
