Default So it begins again, part two....

Recently I posted about my pending mods to include a set of XS Power headers, z51 shocks and Z06 sway bars.
The suspension components are a few weeks away, I need to recover from the header install.
About the headers...anyone considering these please understand that all of the reviews you read are true. There are some fitment issues. But I knew that when I purchased them. Had them installed once and then realized I had to remove drivers side to " ding " them to ensure they cleared the steering column. Also please note that after two weeks, and more then a few frantic PM's to John at Huron( thank you John for your patience), I decided to go from underneath in leu of through the top as the instructions suggested. I would recommend this to anyone attempting the installation themselves. Leave the valve covers on, leave the alternator on as well. Loosen, or remove the starter. Keep track of how it's wired btw. Trust me. Also go ahead and purchase a new set of bolts for the underside. I ended up buying 3" machine grade stainless nuts and bolts as well as a set of " band clamps" for the work underneath.
All of that being said let me tell you this... They are beautiful, the welds are perfect, the stainless is polished to a mirror like finish. The sound is AWESOME. There is no drone, under WOT, HOLY CRAP, they are sweet. I like everything about them. Was it worth the two weeks of ???? Yup, every minute of it. These are really nice headers, the sound, the construction, all of it. They are not perfect, but know that when you are buying them. Would I recommend them? Absolutely.
I will keep you posted when the suspension goes in...

Good review and congrats on getting the headers installed. Best of luck with the other mods.
