Post your lowered C5 for reference

Maxed out fronts with trimmed bushings. And Maxed out stock rears.

It took me over a year and a half to finally lower my car but I finally made it happen this past spring. I daily drive mine as well and I had convinced myself that lowering was not an option due to the hardships of having a slammed car. However I am VERY glad I did. Turn in seems to be a bit sharper but other than that, no noticeable handling differences.
You will certainly have to get used to scraping the air dam up front. It was designed to fold up on impact but it still sounds terrible.
(I'm used to it by now) I definitely scrape all over the place but I have NEVER hit the bump stops or the bottom of the car and Mass roads are pretty bad. You just have to be mindful and take things at an angle. Hope this helped
