Just wanted to see how much people are selling or buying c5 z06 for at this time. Please post
I am looking at a 02 with 25k miles (Immaculate) and want to offer 21k- lowball or fair in your opinion?
Unless someone is in a jam, doubtful you will be able to buy one with these miles in near pristine condition. They could sell it to a dealer for this much or more.
Or course there are always exceptions, but a 25K car in pristine condition, should be around 24-27K.
That price is definately legit. These cars arent gold. They are sweet but they are still just cars. As much as wed like to think they were, they were not hand built by virgins on a full moon while the planets were alligned using materials from the far reaches of the galaxy.
If someone paid me 25+ for my 02 with 20k, valve springs done, short shifter with c6 ****, skip shift eliminator....its gone

I've always seen it as a car thats why I will drive the sh.t out of it like I've driven all my other cars. It seems like people treat it like you've describe because there are many with no more than 30k miles

an 04 maybe, not at 02
we've had 04 z16s with under 10k miles sell at least twice this past year for 30
24 would be tops on an 02
i've honestly seen more high prices this year than i did last year. the only good deal i noticed on the forum was that red 03 with 94k on it with some nice mods for 16k
getting near 30 on a c5z is a bit silly when 06z's with under 20k miles are closing 38-40 all day

this forum is weird sometimes. on the one hand there are guys wanting to low ball everything, on the other, there are a lot of old men who throw out crazy numbers on their cars and think someone will pay it
Bought my 04 a couple months ago and shopped around for a while. I could see an 02 with 25k miles going for mid 20s pretty easily. At a dealer the same car may even be high 20s.
Veracka motors in Brockton, MA has a 2002 electron blue Z with just under 30,000 miles all stock asking $24,999. No idea what he will take, but I have heard that he does not go down much.

that's not bad for retail. 23-24 is common private party
So much of it is regionally dependent, and being fortunate enough to be in the "right place at the right time".
One of my buds just listed and sold his '02 torch red, with 20k miles, for $19.9k. Extra set of wheels and some minor goodies, but essentially all stock and in very good condition. To me, it was such a "steal" that I thought about buying it (I thought that it was about $3k undervalued), but the last thing I need right now (so says my spouse ) is another Z06.
Was located in the northern suburbs of Detroit, now headed to Grand Rapids.
I paid $25,500 for an '02 with 16k miles this past April. Car was in western NJ. It was NOT immaculate, in fact I don't know how you can get so many scratches on a car with so few miles. Not a big deal for me, I want to drive and track it. I'm not much of a waxer with this car. I save that for my C3.
I know a '03 mint stock 15k mile car that sold for 24.5 recently. Both parties seemed happy. Region has a lot to do with it, here in the NW prices seem about maxed.

that was cheap
but
very poor area, would have done 23-24k in portland or seattle pretty easily

Nah, not because it's a "very poor area".
Even now, or the past few years, w.r.t. new Corvette sales, Michigan usually ranks in the top five states. Thus, that means there's also a wide inventory of used Corvettes for sale, and prices are a little lower because of it.
In the end, my bud wanted to move the car. He didn't want to mess with negotiations, priced it to sell, and moved it quickly. As I put in my earlier post, I felt that it was at least $3k under market value (for this place), but he's satisfied with what he got and he can move on to doing other things with the money.
