Default Question for MODERATOR ?

I thought we could recommend SUPPORTING VENDORS to someone inquiring where to get some work done on their cars like I did on this thread = http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-z...i-am-back.html Post #7 did and his was not removed ?

My post got deleted by the Moderator - was I wrong ?

Good question. I remember who you recommended, and I just did a search, and sure enough they're still a supporting member for this site. Regardless, I've seen many people recommend non-supporters in the past without catching flack. Something doesn't add up...

One would think that the Help And Feedback forum would be a better place for an answer to this kind of question, no?

How often do members visit that forum and I believe since not many visit that forum this would be the good place to ask so more of us won't violate the terms & agreement ?

So if the moderator wants to move this thread please do, I am just asking for some clarification since I knew the VENDOR I posted was a supporter of the forum ?

I was sent a PM by the Moderator that I had violated the forum terms and my post has since been removed. I responded to that PM asking why and never received a response ?

my best guess on this sort of thing is another vendor complains and then a mod does their deleting. i tends to happen a lot when one vendor says something, then a member suggests something else {often better}

the way around this particular rule is to type the name of the business you recommend but not link to it

Maybe the shop you suggested has not come through with their end of the bargain for the forum. It could also be possible that the shop owner slept with a moderators sister. I have no proof of that since it was made up in its entirety. I would suggest myself for work on others peoples cars. But, since I charge no money for installing headers and motors etc, the mods would do me a favor if they deleted post sending people my way. I was going to invest in the forum and then I thought it might not be a good investment since my return is zero. I'm just messing with you man. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation. I really have given away a few hundred hours this year already. Love people that love their vettes! If they are a good shop, they will find their way.

NOT becoming a Supporting Vendor on this forum might have been the best business decision you ever made, just think of ALL the $$$ you saved yourself

If you ever need help and find yourself near Springfield Missouri, I am you man. I keep a hobby shop with a lift full of tools for every need. It is my peaceful place. It is where I relax. It is not open to the public. That being said, maybe there was some misunderstanding or an accident on the part of the forum. Maybe we should give them the benefit of doubt. I have had a problem with tolerance my entire life. Age has not made me weak. It has given me the ability to see what happened and gather the facts before I assume judgement. I am still not great at it, but I am trying. If it is an important fight for you and the moderator refuses to discuss the issue, there must be someone who appointed the moderator. At some point you may feel that making a big deal out of it may not be worth it.
