Default Pedal recommendations?

Looking for something to provide more grip, but don't want to spend $200 etc. What do you guys recommend for grip? Z06 standard car.

I got the pyramid style pedals from CCA. Excellent quality and grip. They are a little under $200, but for me, the quality was worth it. You can find the smooth pedals for less, but I don't think they would improve grip very much.

I chose the grid pedals from CCA and I've been very happy with their performance.

OK. I put different pedals in my car, but the reason wasn't all cosmetic. I did not like where the clutch was relative to the rest of the pedals. So I wanted to bring it forward. Ecklers offered a "cap" that was mimicking the original pedal, but it was plastic and $60.
I have put real MOMO pedals in my Subaru. For my Vette I bought knock-off MOMO pedals from fleabay. Honestly, with the exception of the hardware you can't tell them apart from the original. And in my case I had to change all the hardware anyway.
They are cheap, they look cool, they match my car and they provide excellent grip. MOMO make a great variety of pedal designs and some of them even have rubber inserts to help with grip. Check them out and I'm sure you'll find something you like.

On the picture you can see the original pedals behind the new ones a little, but this only because of the way the picture was taken and the flash. When you sit in the car it looks awesome.

Geeee. We are not talking here about a mechanical component. No matter what, at the end of day, it's about a thin metal plank.
Go on e-bay and search MOMO or SPARCO pedals an you can find some great looking stuff that will do exactly what you need for no more than $50. Go up to $80 to $100 and you are getting genuine stuff. Not from an accessories shop in the middle of Nebraska, but from the same guys supplying Ferrari, Porsche and countless racing teams.

I would rather buy parts made in Nebraska than parts made in China or Hong Kong. I looked at the pedals on ebay and in my opinion, nothing looked as good as the CCA pedals. It's also nice to have the mounting points and hardware designed to fit the car. It all comes down to what you like and how much are you willing to spend.

First, genuine momo are made in Italy not China.
Second, there is no mounting points, since the original pedals are molded in.
Third, there is only one way to attach new pedals, therefore attachment will be of the exact same variety on any brand, whether they are made in USSR or Timbuktu.
Last and not least, what the OP asked for was something that will not brake the bank.
Now I can't wait for the lecture someone will give about how they want american parts on their american car, which is laughable, considering the parts used on Vettes.

I think I may have found a nice set for under $40 that is made by a company that makes racing safety products. I need to take some measurements.

The CCA pedals include the hardware that fits through the holes with brackets that match the curvature of the back of the pedal.
I have no control over where the OEM corvette parts are made, but I do have control over where the parts I buy are made. Seeing how the U.S. has lost over 50,000 factories since 2000, when I can afford it, I try to buy American instead of parts made in China, Hong Kong, or Italy.
The OP asked about pedals that did not cost $200. The link I posted in reply #7 had a set for $140.
Lastly, I wrote in reply #9 says: "It all comes down to what you like and how much are you willing to spend).I don't care what the OP buys, I'm just posting what I know about the CCA pedals I bought.

I guess "awesome" is a matter of perspective because I think those pedals belong in a Corvette about as much as a Smart car engine does.

Not to mention they're ugly as hell.

But as I said, it's a matter of perspective. If you like them, that's cool.

Just order them from CCA, Chip is a great vendor here and we should first look to support those vendors who make this site free for all of us. Chip has well made products that he'll stand behind, and is always willing to help even if you don't buy a product from him.

I have these in my C5, but the black, 6-speed version. I have had no problems with them at all. They certainly do grip well. Installation is straightforward and they look great.
