Hey yall, just picked up my 04 about 2 weeks ago. She came with Kooks headers, x-pipe, and a Borla stinger out back. Also has a VR cold air intake along with a carbon fiber piece connecting it to the throttle body.
Now I'm coming from a world of diesel performance where after these mods you get a programmer and start getting tunes. Is this the same in the LS1 world and if so what would yall recommend? And where do yall Houston guys take your vettes for performance, tuning, etc?
its possible the car has already been tuned, but if not the handheld will be a great addition to your ride. you will notice a big difference if the car is an auto and has not been tuned. firm and raise the shifts alittle and you will see 3 tenths difference at the track. sounds like you have a great car to start with, good luck on your journey!

I want to say I think it's already been tuned. There's a rather long bridge leading from my town to the next and I took down a C5Z from a 40 roll and a 60 roll.
Looks like it's time to do some looking around for local tuners.
