Brakes not right
My brakes are not acting right. The pedal has a lot of travel and I'm losing fluid. I checked and it seems I have a leak between the MC and the booster. Is swapping the MC a DIY job or best left to a shop?
I do most work myself but have never changed a MC. I am worried about getting all the air out. Should I try to replace it myself? How best to remove all the air from the MC? I know I will need to bleed each wheel after in get the new MC in. Thanks for any help.
Once you replace the MC, fill it, then do the brake bleeding as required. Keep the MC full (you'll need to do it pretty often at the start.) It's really a good idea to do a fluid change every so often anyhow. I do mine every two years.
