It works great, no problems we use it on our cars all the time. And they are pretty good with customer support and software updates.
Am I reading it correctly that it is $130 for shipping? WOW!
Probably the same ripped off unit as the one I posted. Man, the price is good though. 1 year warranty...

It really reads out all the odd-ball parameters called out in the factory shop manual?
I had considered one of these: http://www.autoenginuity.com/products/scan-tool.html
but it runs close to $500 by the time you buy the GM software add-on. (And that assumes you have a spare laptop lying around to run it on.) But the user interface is certainly more senior-eye-friendly than the factory unit or the Chinese copies.

Yeah, he got his a while back, when these others weren't around, and the real one was a couple thousand. All I can tell you is that it's not cheaply made, it is a tech 2, reads everything a genuine one does. Heck, it's probably made in the same factory as a genuine one with a different sticker on it. Used it to pinpoint bad air bag sensors, turned on the tpms on both our Z's. My other brother uses it on several other cars. It was worth it for us. The supplier is even really quick answering emails, and he had a problem with the first one, they shipped out another no questions. I'm not backing or endorsing anyone though, it did work out well for us.
Someone with more money then me needs to order one of these and see if it's junk or not. The more I study it, the better it looks. $350 and it includes shipping and the GM software card.

Tech2 is still a stable workhorse of a scan tool for the GM stable. Work on the older cars mainly before 2009 year. It is the only scan tool that I use when tuning our cars. I prefer it over the scanner software that is included in the tuning software.

Reason: mistake
I am concern about the recommendation about this Tech2. Iry2014 is new to the board and have no history with us. He was only looking for a tech2 2 days ago and claim he received already? It smells fishy to me

Here is a link on someone who got one and is happy. You can read about the shipping issue.
