My brother has one of these, paid about the same price, wasn't from this place, it was from here, have to pay shipping here though.

It works great, no problems we use it on our cars all the time. And they are pretty good with customer support and software updates.

Definitely interesting. I would imagine it would work OK for the casual user. Don't know how well it would hold up in a service department though.
I was fortunate enough to get one from a dealer that closed back in 2009.

Probably the same ripped off unit as the one I posted. Man, the price is good though. 1 year warranty...

but it runs close to $500 by the time you buy the GM software add-on. (And that assumes you have a spare laptop lying around to run it on.) But the user interface is certainly more senior-eye-friendly than the factory unit or the Chinese copies.

Yeah, he got his a while back, when these others weren't around, and the real one was a couple thousand. All I can tell you is that it's not cheaply made, it is a tech 2, reads everything a genuine one does. Heck, it's probably made in the same factory as a genuine one with a different sticker on it. Used it to pinpoint bad air bag sensors, turned on the tpms on both our Z's. My other brother uses it on several other cars. It was worth it for us. The supplier is even really quick answering emails, and he had a problem with the first one, they shipped out another no questions. I'm not backing or endorsing anyone though, it did work out well for us.

Someone with more money then me needs to order one of these and see if it's junk or not. The more I study it, the better it looks. $350 and it includes shipping and the GM software card.

I am concern about the recommendation about this Tech2. Iry2014 is new to the board and have no history with us. He was only looking for a tech2 2 days ago and claim he received already? It smells fishy to me

Just yesterday he was posting where to find one and now suddenly he has one a day later that had to be shipped from overseas?
