So I have a 2000 FRC with a manual drivers seat and I have a seat rocking problem. The bottom of the seat will slide front and rear. I have taken the seat out and see a little play in the engagements. I don't know if anyone has a way to fix this? I haven't found any replacement drivers side rails to purchase?
It's the famous C5 seat problem, do a search on here and you'll some DIY repairs. Also there are a few vendors on here with a kit that will fix it,Radioflyer is one. Good luck,L8R ZFLASH
Yes, unfortunately I have the manual seat, so all of the seat rocking fixes don't apply. I have no idea what to call these pieces, but the manual engagement block that is connected to the hand lever to release the seat and let you move, seems to just not fit tightly in the holes of the seat rail any longer. I was hoping someone with a manual seat could chime in.
My only other thought is I installed them square, maybe installing them 1 notch apart would keep the seat in tension? In theory this would make the seat crooked, but might keep the components in a bind?
