Single Din Installed
I got my single din radio that I purchased from Double D Mods installed today. I had a few problems which Dennis help me through. He has to have the patience of a saint on some of the question he gets from novice installers. I would buy from him again without question. I may have to upgrade my speakers now. I didn't post any pics of the install as it is just a single din and I haven't put the radio bezel or center console back in yet. I am deciding on whether on painting them torch red or not, so not installing till I decide what to do. Again my hats off to Dennis for his patience and help. What a great guy and vendor..

At the risk of proclaiming my stupidity when it comes to audio systems, what the hell is single din?
Is there also a double, triple etc din?
I have absolutely not the faintest idea of what din is.
Care to explain?

Single Din is standard size stereo. Double Din is the larger ones you see now in cars with DVD/gps. The C5 had a "din and a half" oddball size. The opening in our dash is not large enough for a double din so if you want to install the larger face stereos you must modify the bezel or go with a single din style radio like I did
