Default Best LOOKING generation?

I can’t address the issue as far as performance is concerned.
I haven’t driven anything beyond my C5.
We are obviously on the C5 forum for a reason. I really don’t care for the look of the C6.
I have only seen a C7 a couple of times and I think they have gone back to the sharp angular
lines which change back and forth over time with most cars. The C7 looks pretty good to me, but that is based upon my very limited look at them.
Rounded lines, or sharp lines like the C7s are obviously a matter of taste in my opinion, and I chose the rounded lines like our C5 generation has. I was just curious about what others feel looks the best.

What do you guys think?

BTW, my spell check isn’t working correctly, so there may be some words spelled wrong. I can’t spell for the most part so please forgive any mistakes

All of the C2 Mid-year Corvettes from 63-67 IMO would be the pinnacle best looking. The C7 is slowly but surely growing on me, and for the rest, I like all of them. Each generation has their uniqueness and styling, I wouldn't turn down any of them.

C2 is the best looking, most iconic Corvette ever.

Also love the early C3's (aka bumper Vettes) and the later C1's ('58 - '62) with the dual headlights on each side.

From the "modern" era, C5 is the best looking hands down.

I really like the C7, but it is an entirely different look and between the two, I prefer the clean, smooth flowing curves/lines of the C5.

All that said, I love all Corvettes - just some more than others!

My 1st through 3rd place in terms of looks would be:

C2
C7
C5

But I will say the C5 and C7 are very close in my book.

I think all generations look good. I like my C5 but the C1 always catches my eye. Especially when it looks something like this!

I like the C2 and the widebody C6 best, followed closely by the C5 and C7. Don't care at all for the C1, C3, or C4.

Firstly, I just wanted to say that you say you can't spell very good but your post was just fine.

As for the question, the C5 for me hands down. I've been a Mustang fan my whole life and the ONLY Corvette that ever caught my eye was the C5. The C7 is a disaster IMO, the C6 is a good looking car but not quite as good, and the earlier years....meh.

I remember a certain brand new 57 fuelie coupe in red with red coves which sounded awesome, looked sensational and ran like we wished our old clunkers would. That particular Vette is imprinted in my mindset as the ultimate expression of the breed. I was an impressionable 10 year old at the time and the car belonged to my much older brothers best buddy....he visited our driveway often, and gave my Dad fits as he left with tires spinning...I want THAT car...

Of course this is always subjective. I love my C5's looks, performance and comfort. I had a big block 69 for 27 years that I loved (looks-wise. it was cool, but otherwise, it was hot, a gas guzzler and hard to work on), but my overall favotite has to be the '67 big block coupe for shear bad *** looks. Still, I'm on this forum because dollar for dollar and grins per mile the C5 is hard to beat! Zuti

Too hard to make my choice as a whole but my favorite cars styling wise for each generation are 67 427 vert 04 Z06 96 GS vert 13 427 vert 14 vert 70 454 vert 62 Fuelie C2's and C5's look the best, after that it's too hard for me to choose as a whole I'm also partial to verts if they had made a C5 Z06 vert it would be an easy 2nd however a C6 wide body vert is tough to beat and I do think they look better then C7's , I'm also partial to C4's(a 96 GS vert just stops traffic!) as they were "the car" growing up..early C3 and late C1 is too hard to choose...wait maybe late C3 but I love a 62 Fuelie so too hard

C2 best looking 'stock'
C1 best looking 'resto-mod'

All of the other gens look OK.

The C7 looks spastic to me; relying on shock&awe "Look at my edges & lights and, and, stuff!!" instead of classic lines. But maybe it'll grow on me

Love the C5 looks, timeless. In order of preference overall for me it would be:
C2
early C3 (those with chrome bumpers)
C5
Haven't seen a C7 up close yet, just in passing on the road, so not sure where I would place it on my list.
Enjoying reading everyone's opinions.

I like all generations.

But if you are interested in HIGH PERFORMANCE... then the most recent year Corvette has to be the best choice.

It's hard to argue with that. However, of all the generations a late C1, i.e; 1956-1960 always catches my eye. I love the look of my C5, but it's not as iconic as say a C3 mako-shark, a C2 Stingray, or a 1958 Tuxedo black Corvette.
