Default New SR1 Wheels

I just got these new wheels and tires, They are SR1 Wheels 18 x 8 1/2 fronts with a 2 inch lip and 19 x 10s on the rear with a 3 inch lip, with Sumitomo HTR2 ultra high performance tires. Fronts - 255/18/40 Rear - 285/19/35 its has a nice rake to it still, I need to work on the wheel spacers on the rear to get it where I want, right at the edge of the wheel well, The tire shop only had the 1 1/2 inch spacers in stock so the rears stick out just a bit too far and the fronts don't have any spacers yet, maybe the fronts don't need any, dropping to 3/4 spacer for the rears so they will hopefully be right at the wheelwell edge too, let me know what you think so far, Thanks, CorvetteBob

Wheels look very good, but don't they make them with the correct C5 offsets so there would be no need for spacers? Just curious.

Yes they are the correct offset, 065 on the rear and 056 on the front, but they still seemed to hide inside the wheelwell too far for my taste. by doing this you get the effect of having wider wheels than you actually have

So why didn't you set up a POLL if that's what you wanted. What's the point after you bought them anyway?

Nice. If you want spacers on the rear-that's fine, but I don't think it needs it.

Do you have longer studs to accommodate the spacers? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but your spacers sound pretty wide

Ok, maybe a "poll" wasn't the correct way to see if anyone else but me liked these wheels, anyways, as far as spacers go, I misworded it, they are adaptors with new longer studs too because the wheels are thicker than stock wheels, They are 1 1/2 inch wide adaptors, without them the wheels don't come all the way out to the edge of the fender lip where I wanted them, it really gives it an aggressive look, these were the only ones they had in stock at the store, mine new ones are on order and should have them by Monday and are only 3/4 inch adaptors which should put them right where I want them. I think the fronts are ok where they are at. Oh and yes the whole car has been lowered 1 inch with a lowering kit, don't know which kit, I bought it that way.

It looks to me that the rear stick out past the fender now?

Nice Wheels!! But then again I'm a little biased!
I believe they only come in 1 size 18/19's, I got mine from West Coast Corvettes. I went with Michelin's, no spacers and it's stock ride height.

Wow, those wheels look really great with the silver and chrome combo, can I ask what west coast charged you for them? I got mine from 1st rate corvette parts in Florida.

To: Mr. Bill, Didn't you read , these were the only one in stock that day, I had to put them on because my rear brakes have been modified to Z06 brake Rotors and are bigger than original brakes and the wheels would not fit unless I used the adaptors with them. I have ordered new 3/4 inch adaptors and will be here in three days which when put on will bring the wheels right back to the lip of the fender. The adaptors that are on the rear now are too wide at 1 1/2 inches, I am dropping to 3/4 inch ones.

Wheels look good, especially chrome on yellow. Yes, in my opinion, they stick out too much with those spacers. Once you get the 3/4 ones on you should be fine. Enjoy!!

I'll PM you, not sure if I can post it on here. I did get the polished chrome barrel though.
