so I was heading to wok and going down the on ramp that I take every day but today was different there was two cars stopped in the road so I stopped behind them the front car went I looked to my left and no cars coming. so the car in front of me started to go forward as she was I looked again to my left to see if it was clear for me to merge and it was, not a single car coming so I look forward to go and BAM im under her bumper.... why she was stopped I do not know... but all in all no damage to her and ill be pissed if she makes a big deal about it and all the damage to me front bumper and hood need to replaced along with all the internals for the bumper... and I got the ticket for the wreck ...stupid if you ask me but well discuss that more in court lol. so anyone have any of these parts for sale? (I will be posting on the wanted section also lol) and anyone want some fixer up parts? lol

Ouch, sorry your C5 got messed up. Per the earlier post, turn it over to your insurance. They all have us running scared to file claims, but that's why we have insurance and why the law mandates it. Time to get back some of your premium money.
Something similar almost happened to me. I was behind a car that was turning right out of a parking lot onto a major divided four-lane highway. When I turned my head to look left to see if it was clear for me to pull out, I failed to notice that the driver in front of me changed her mind and did not pull out. I was lucky enough to stop in time, but it only proves that it only takes a split second for an accident to occur.

If someone stops in front of you its assumed you should be
able to stop before hitting them. That being said I understand
how it happened because I have almost done the same thing
more than once.

In the absence of witnesses, the court will probably rule against you. You can probably count on the other driver developing "neck pain" once she talks to an attorney. Like someone posted above: that's what insurance is for.

yeah gona wait till insurance gives me my moola so I can make it look decent then spend the rest on go fast goodies lol gona try and get the hood I want either high rise or zr edition and just gona replace the bumper OE. and hope to have enouph for my hp tuner and new paint job
