Vendors and people showing usually pay, General public usually doesn't, All different types of shows and swap meets out here cause the weather always nice
I understand now. 99% of our shows are like that also. I thought you meant it was free to enter. Corvettes at Carlisle isn't like a normal car show. It's a weekend event. It's basically Disneyland for Corvette owners.
The price has definitely gone up over the years but what hasn't ?
I also do the fun field as it's the best value. 7 hour drive for me which is one of the highlights for me. Well actually the Texas Road House is lol. I arrive Thursday and leave on Sunday.
Stay in Harrisburg and do lots of shopping when we are not at the show.
The $75.00 is less than a tank of gas for me (Canadian eh) and is the least of my expenses for the weekend.
It is sad to see that $75 is holding you back from going. I'm sure if you went you would feel as if it is worth it. We are there from Wednesday to Sunday lol.
Over all the years I have been going many times I've gone for three days and a few of the years I've gone for a day. It's doable to go and go home on one day from NJ to PA. Even the years I went for only a day, I paid for the full Funfield pass. With all you get, including not having to pay to park on someone's lawn, it's worth it to me to be able to drive into the world's greatest Corvette event. I can easily waste $75 doing a lot less. Plus if you registered early you'd save money.
