Default Exhaust Advice Needed

I am looking for some advise on my 2000 Targa which I believe has the factory exhaust/muffler system. I have attached a photo to have one of you confirm it. The other question I have is in regards to stainless or chrome exhaust tips and filler panel. Anyone put tips on this style of exhaust? If so what brand, and where did you get them from. I would prefer a slip on style that would not require any alterations other than maybe drilling a few holes.
Thanks

Those look like the factory exhaust tips from the '97-00 Vettes. Some of the forum vendors should have slip over chrome tips that you can use with the factory exhaust. I would recommend that you get a muffler shop to tack weld the new tips on (just a couple of small welds per tip) to ensure that they do not come loose over time.

The add-on tips are not that cheap and my advice would be to put your dollars to an aftermarket exhaust. You can usually find them for sale used on the forum or flea-bay if you don't want to buy new. A new exhaust will give your car more personality and enjoyment. It will make it feel and sound like a performance sports car. The stock exhaust does nothing for image and feel of the car. It's just way too quiet for a Corvette. A performance exhaust system will even enhance the looks.

I would recommend a good used set of titanium mufflers from the z06, direct bolt on and usually a lot cheaper than a b&b or borla, also come with some very nice looking tips on them.
