Like I said, I believe, I must be wrong then, I can look at mine and see what wires I used to be sure.

I just went and looked, I am hooked to the orange/black stripe and the black wire.

What year is your C5, because I don't have an orange/black stripe wire. And do you have the auto dimming mirror?

On mine from left to right is Brown, Black, Green, Gray, Pink, Orange, Orange.

Mine is a 2002 with auto dimming mirror. Best way is to use a test light and look for 12 volt that is switched with the key and don't go off when the door is open, That way you will be sure.

From the web site http://www.invisicord.com/vehicleapp/index.php

Additional Notes: Doors must be closed for mirror power

I tried both suggestions and nothing was working. Then I did another search on CorvetteForum and noticed that a couple of posts said that the black wire, not the 2nd orange wire, was ground. I switched the invisicord black to the mirror black and the detector powered up. You may want to update your install instructions. This is a 2003 coupe with the electrochromatic mirror.

Finally got it to work with the black wire. At first it didn't but that was because I wasn't getting a good connection, it is a difficult place to try and work. I unplugged the power connector from the mirror so I could get to where I needed to be easier.

Thanks for all your help!

I had read posts that their website info was incorrect on the C5. You want black for ground, an brown for power.
