Invisicord Help
I can't remember which wires to tap on my 02 Z06 mirror for Invisicord? Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated...

Just use a test light, That is what I did. Find a power that comes on with the key.

That bad thing tapping into the mirror is that the radar detector with turn off when your door is opened.

I just went out and checked that. My radar is still on with the door open.

You used invisicord Bill? I tapped into black and brown wires.

I wonder if I tapped into the wrong place on my mirror, because my radar detector shuts off until the door is closed.

Is your mirror auto dimming? I can't remember if there is a difference or not?

In any case who drives around with the door open? Unless a mustang blows it off.

Obviously no one, but it's annoying to park with the motor running and get out for a second, then get back in close the door and have the radar detector go through its startup process each time.

Ah that is true! Did you check to see what color wires you tapped?

After looking at it, I'm connected to the brown (last wire on the left) and first orange wire (second wire from the right). Does it matter that my mirror is auto dimming?
According to the Invisicord site, I have tapped into the correct spots. But there is some discrepancy over where the black invisicord wire should be tapped into if you have auto dimming mirrors. One person said it worked for them if the black invisicord wire was tapped into the black mirror wire.

The 2 orange are 12 volt, I believe you want the brown for switched 12 volt and the black for ground.

Yet those are the wires the invisicord web page says to connect to. However it says "Orange (2nd in) OR black (see notes)", but doesn't explain why one over the other. Kind of like, if one doesn't work then try the other.
