I just noticed this when I stepped out my car and went to the passenger side. There's no issues when driving that I can tell, but the sound doesn't seem normal to me. It's almost like a fluttering noise
Could not tell if it is a bearing in something like the A/C clutch or tensioner, etc. To isolate it to being external to the engine you can remove the belts one at a time and try to narrow the search.
Suggest you buy an auto stethoscope to help try and to locate the source. They are inexpensive and a great diagnostic tool to have.
Took her in today, the mechanic had a hard time replicating the sound after warming up they said the slight tick is normal. This was from a corvette only shop
Sounds like a bearing grinding to death...could be water pump, tensioner, ac pump, alternator. Do like Daderoo says. Or drive it long enough and you will know what the issue is, lol. Good luck.
