Looking at getting some jacking pucks and debating on purchasing the leave in kind. Just want some feed back if it is worth the extra coin going that route? Thanks
I bought the leave in jacking pucks about a month ago. I only installed one to see if it would stay in and it has. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is that they are low profile and not very large in diameter. I have a 3 ton floor jack with a 3" diameter cup. It doesn't work with these pucks (I may just be too scared that the cup is hitting the rail). I think if I had a jack with a smaller cup, it would work perfectly.
I just made some (hokey pucks) I thought of the leave in type but worried about hitting them or loosing them as i drive my car is lowered.....
That's my fear is one of them falling out while I'm driving.

That's a good idea since my trunk is used for nothing more than to store my lawn chair for meets and shows.

That's another concern of mine-floor jack. The whole reason for getting them is that I will be doing a brake job soon.

Hmmmm are the square or round? Got a part number or a link by chance so I can check them out.
These are my pucks, and they didn't cost me a dime.
They work every bit as good as the store bought ones, and when not being used, they store nicely in one of the trunk compartments.

Sorry, I beg to differ with you, I have seen some hokey pucks and a lot of other hokey things, By the way it is Mistakes. And not making fun.
In my opinion Hokey pucks are a homemade, backyard kinda thing.
I thought that is what he meant.
If I offended anyone I am sorry.

I misunderstood your intent, boy do I feel stupid
now I am embarrassed to say that not only do I use hokey pucks, I use hokey Vancouver Canucks pucks purchased for $0.99C each.
But seriously, I like the idea of these, I cringe every time I bottom out. I am going to order some.
pic is not actually of mine but there the same thing but orange witch is a harder puck, $12 invested and about 20 minutes to get them together, I made them to use temporarily so i could change the oil last weekend (recently purchased it) I was going to buy the aluminum puck's but these worked pretty well I'm just going to stick them them

These essentially look like the ones I made. Only difference is that I put a washer between the eye bolt and hockey puck. Very simple to make and much cheaper than the alternatives. Haven't had any issues with them.
i have to be honest I dont think these will last as long as the aluminum pucks but @ $12 not really hurting any one if your under your car a lot or plan on leaving it in the air for extended periods might be worth it to buy the aluminum pucks and just be done with it
but if you need some thing fast dont have time to wait hockey pucks are the way to go......

I thought of wood but was worried about it splitting while on a jack stand
