i have to be honest I dont think these will last as long as the aluminum pucks but @ $12 not really hurting any one if your under your car a lot or plan on leaving it in the air for extended periods might be worth it to buy the aluminum pucks and just be done with it
but if you need some thing fast dont have time to wait hockey pucks are the way to go......
I thought of wood but was worried about it splitting while on a jack stand
The blocks are only in place long enough to jack the car to place jackstands under it.
Once the stands are in place, the blocks aren't used again until it is time to lower the car.
I would never work under a vehicle while it is sitting on a jack.

Bob.
yeah I agree!
I drive mine up on some wood ramps I made so i can get the jack under the front of the car after I lift it I put the pucks in then low it to jack stands, some times its to tight to have the stands on the suspension and work on stuff plus I like lifting the car evenly

I can't see the point of having leave-in pucks at all. Just something hanging down to get caught on something. I simply just lay them on the floor jack saddle, and roll them under the car. 2 pucks and 2 aluminum floor jacks is all I ever use, or need. I lift a couple hundred cars a year that way. If you need to take it somewhere to put up on a lift, just carry 4 in the car. They do not need eye bolts or anything either.
