Your car, do what you want. Nothing wrong with them. Painting them will not last if you daily drive your car. Powder coating is much more durable than the paint kits.
I actually ordered a set thinking it might be a quick and easy way to dress up the ugly gray calipers.
Once I opened the box upon arrival, I thought to myself "what was I thinking?. The color was fine and all, however they lost me at the fake painted-on bolts and lettering.
Also, looking at how they attach, I don't feel confident that the cover clamps won't come loose in a heavy use or evasive maneuver situation. Last thing I want is some piece of metal rattling around or gumming up the works in between my inner wheel and the rotors.
Some may find it NBD, but I decided at that moment to go with powder coating and new seals on my actual calipers. $200-$300 is worth the results and peace of mind of doing it right.

I thought about popping rivets in place of the fake rivets, but haven't gotten around it.
1: The fake painted on rivets are horrid. Remind's me of a kid's toy gun.
2: The large size looks terrible on the stock size rotor.
3: The edges are not rolled so you can see its just a facade.
4: The mounting hardware is terrible and I can see the tabs breaking off, catching the rim and slicing a brake line.
I always chime in on this subject. I have had them for several years and they are still perfect (no broken or loose clips) They polish brightly and wipe clean with a dust cloth. And who looks at calipers close enough to determine if the faux bolts are fake? And who cares anyway? They look good and provide a great cover for an ugly caliper. And for you who criticize "covers" please consider your fuel rail covers. Are you trying to convince someone that you have a big, DOHC four cam engine?

That's fine and dandy, but how do you explain the Wolverine-inspired blades on your side vents?
Keeeeeeeding, I was only keeeeeding!
Hey, one cool thing about being Corvette owners is having a car that is perfectly OK to customize. Corvette pilots have been bending over backwards since the 50's trying to be a little different than the next one, and that's what it's all about.
So if it makes you happy, and don't mind a sneer every now and then... Do it to it.
I just wouldn't do it to it. Not that way. My way. See my point?

I do not need "inspiration". I am perfectly capable of independent thought. I put the blades on because it dresses up that "hole" in the side of the car.
Ah, but the fuel Rail Covers came with your car too, did you notice?

a few people in my area have them caliper cover's on there cars, not corvette's thankfully...but they look tacky and cheap and half fast way of doing getting the other look. and if one happen's to fall off then your left with three and you can't just buy one...paint wont come off as easy and looks leaps and bounds better..IMO
