Ok, after a closer inspection the gas guage only works from full to half and than it is empty.
I notice some oil on the bottom of the engine. Didn't look like it was from the valve covers it seemed to be leaking further down the engine . Not a lot , but enough to get grimy .
Also on the bottom was some power steering fluid. It was kind of mixed in with the oil. Not a lot but enough to wipe off and see it on your hand.
Are these going to be major fixes(cost) of something I could do myself
?
Thanks

You will need to do some more investigating and determine where the leaks are coming from exactly. You can try several applications of Techron to your fuel tank and see if your fuel sender improves.

Most of the fluid seems to be to the drivers side bottom of motor. Maybe a front seal?

I need to give the owner an answer tomorrow if I want to buy the car or not.
Other than these issues the car is immaculate inside and out. Previous owner did a great job making the car look like a Z06.

Unless way under market don't jump without these issues resolved. My 99 FRC was dry as a bone when I bought it in 2010, and it still is today.

Not a bad price but not great if you are possibly looking at a rack replacement or rebuild, possibly a front seal or .......???? It may be a good car but repairs sometimes snowball.

And if some Techron doesn't fix the gas gauge problem, you could be looking at an expensive repair.

The owner dropped the price to $13000 to help with the repairs.
