Default Removing and installing EBCM

I recently removed the EBCM on my 2001 Vert due to the C1214 error code so I could send it out to be repaired. This is the 2nd time removing and installing it using both the "over the top" and the "under the car" modes. I can report that you'll save yourself a huge amount of work, time and frustration by using the "under the car" mode. Taking a few minutes to run it up onto your ramps or jack stands is definitely the way to go. I guarantee your back will thank you, not to mention your patience, after dropping the screws over and over into those inaccessible hiding places down there when trying to install it from above.

And hopefully you won't have to do it again.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to do mine in the spring. Found a brand new Delco for $600. Figure I will get the other one repaired and sell it for $500. Or keep it for a spare.

I sent the EBCM off to Mandigital on eBay to be repaired for $50 and it came back in record time. I installed it and it works perfectly...No codes whatsoever!
