I am assuming that he now uses something else. I get the impression that some of these products give different results, depending upon the colour of the car.
If I went out and purchased all of the products that are recommended
on this forum I would certainly have one shiny car. However, I would no longer be able to afford to put petrol in it!
I hear ya! Reading all of the posts on here motivates me to part from my cash in more places than just a shiny car. I am just glad I can afford it now, both in time and $$$.
I also used it once, it did ok, but there is so much better in my opnion. I use Ammo NYC and Adams.
I used Zaino Once.. back in 1999, and that all I've been using since...
In my 55 + years of detailing , I've not found another product that is 99.9% optically clear, and last a full year with 100 % UV stability. has no residue or chalking , and best of all there is absolutely no Yellowing Carnauba in it.. Its easy to put on and take off... my 15 year old finish looks better than New.. Many people tell me that my car looks " Wet " which it does.
There isn't a product on the market that comes close. The more you choose to put on, the deeper and wetter the finish becomes.
I've turned thousands of people on this forum on to Zaino over my 13 years here, back when Sal was making his products in his Garage in North Jersey.

My son uses Zaino, and he lives up in New England, where the winters are harsh.. I was up there visiting him and his family and his car looked so wet, I asked him if he had just detailed his car... He said no he hadn't done it in 6 months. I was very impressed, and happy I turned him on to it.. he tells me new friends and colleagues are always asking what he uses..
The other good thing is an application of Zaino takes an hour even when claying. If I were to just apply a coat of Zaino , I can do it in 30 minutes with a few tricks I've learned over the years.
Thanks.... I am not sure people knew but I was funning in my first post in this thread.. I know you knew but only the long of toof got it right out of the box.
I've had people tell me they were going to shoot themself if I made another unsolicited testimonial about Zaino..

Im not saying Zaino is bad but, I have been to many detailing schools in my time and know the proper way to detail a car, and as a former chemist, I can guarantee you there is better polish's, wax's etc than Zaino.

Try another brand other than what you read on a corvette forum and let me know. everyone seems to think if its a forum sponsor or a guy with a corvette used it must be the best. Just because its "shiny" doesn't mean its the best.
I have a garage full of all kinds and I can say with all honesty Zaino is easy to apply and take off and lasts, I have been using if for a couple of years now and love, Not because it is sold by a forum vendor, But because it works. I am not a chemist or went to school for detailing like you, But it works and lasts, I bet you have never even tried it before, I would love to hear what in your opinion is the best seeing you are schooled in this and are a chemist.
Thanks.
Where is the dislike button, too funny.
So you are getting mad at me because I dislike the product you use, then your posting pictures of me to make fun of me. All because my opinion is different than yours. Im not trying to argue with you but just stating my opinions. Thank your for being childish.
First off I am not mad at all, It is just how you came across as a professional being a Chemist and gone to all those detailing schools.
Again, Not mad at all, I fine it amusing as this is the internet.
Hope you are still my friend. No hard feelings.
How did I make fun of you by posting a picture?
Why would you post a picture of me when it had nothing to do what we were talking about and wanted to dislike it? I own a detail business and took several detail classes by Meguiar's and Autogeek to help improve myself and my business, to learn as much as I can about auto detailing. Plus studding Analytical chemistry in college was a plus for me, to learn what is in car care products. And yes Mr Bill we are still friends.
