Out of curiosity, I looked up the value of my C5 on KBB.com and was shocked!! The value for trade-in was $6300!! If I sold to a private party, the value was $8500!! This if for a 2001 Mil Yellow coupe that is flawless and loaded with options and accessories. Mileage is 27000. It has had no damage and has never needed any repairs. Everything works as designed. I do not think so!! Nada!! Not on your life!!
I think NADA is more of a realistic number from when I have checked mine. Not to mention all of the banks I have ever loaned with use NADA as what they will loan on a car.
Yeah think you're using it wrong. Mine is still valued near 22k.
03 50k
Yeah... you might want to give it another try. Make sure you input the VIN.
And if you're just curious about the value or looking to sell private, KBB is fine. When buying and looking for a loan its all based off what value NADA gives
Something isn't right, or KBB thinks market conditions in the supplied zip code are bad.
My 01, M6 base coupe w/ 116k has trade in value of 8500 in good condition, very good 9000, and excellent 9190.
Absolute range on the graph is 7678-9954
01 coupe with 100-120k usually sells high 10s or low11s, real nice one may go higher private party
just looked at mine and it's also a grand under going rate
2002 z06 with 103k now, kbb says 14, average private sale price is 15k
hmm..kbb is actually showing prices under ebay now, oh well, kbb has never really been more than sideshow to chat about. most actual sales are based off of NADA.

KBB USED to be pretty good. Now it's just another tool that the dealers use to try to screw you.
just to let you know, i've been looking for a corvette, sort of pending finances etc, and based on what my wife wants (AC that works)...well,
in the high range of what i was looking for, i've seen about 3 different 97/98 vettes that were in the 10K-12K range, all in nice shape, assume they have high miles (not listed in ads).
i have not seen any 97/98s in the 68000-8K range, ever....
just to let you know and breathe a little easier....
Mine still ranges from $18K-$22K (01) here in NJ. Mileage will kill the value significantly depending where you live. seems the price drops alot after 40,000-50,000 miles.

well it's controlled by dealers, c5 values dropped within days of the c7 going to market, the c6 also has recently. dealers didn't want high trade numbers on the books as they knew there would be guys bringing them in. private party on a typical 72k mile 2007 coupe is 20.8k now, that's down quite a lot in the past year
last year kbb said a 100k mile 01 couple was like 18k

Mileage is what kills the value.
combo. age typically is the worst with mileage a close second. look up a 2010 corvette with 100k, still pulls money
kbb seems to skew mileage more than is realistic when you look at nada and or actual close prices
i WISH i could but a 2010 coupe in very good shape with 100k for 19k...which is what kbb says is private
nada on the other hand shows 22k trade and 25k retail

Are you sure you put in 27,000 and not 270,000? I just ran the numbers making some assumptions on your car and got private seller value in excellent condition of $17,631. When I put in 270,000 I get $7,962...
There must have been an input error on my part. Ran the numbers through NADA and got $19k. When I ran a different KBB address I got $18k. This is for a private sale.
