Wheel Size Question
Looking at off-set and potential interference issues for a wheel/tire change.
According to the forum (and looking at the off-set) the C6 rear wheels on a C5 need about 1/4 spacer to make them flush with the outer fender. Is it recommended to use longer lug nuts? If so what is the spec?
What happens if you don't use a spacer? Will the tires hit the inner fender (i have a coupe so no break cooling duct)? It seems like there would be plenty of room inside the fender for the stock tire size (285-35-19) just looking for experienced comments.
Thanks,
Vince
I've been doing some research on it and used the calculator at Corvette Central, but one thing I am seeing is that you have listed yet the 4th offset for the stock C5 rear. I have been using +57 for the rear(which I have also seen as +59 and +60).

Was looking at stock C6 size wheels, though not necessarily actual C6 wheels or knock-offs. If I go to the C6 Z06 size the cost more than doubles and I need to keep the budget in check. Mostly the cost of tires goes way up.
Stock C6 wheels are also very close to the C5 stagger so I can keep the traction control, which I do normally keep on.
Thanks,
