I wanted to get mine done since I bought it to see if its close to the dyno sheet the original owner had which was 639RWP. But I figured it is not worth the money as all I need to know is 1st thru 3rd gear is almost useless even with brand new Piliot Sports on them. Not as bad as with older ones. I still might. Hope to hear how yours goes.
2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (performance mods)
C5 of Year Winner (performance mods) 2019
what mods do you have??... I push mine hard at times but I know the feeling, it's different when you're in the drivers seat compared to watching someone else... to me the car sounds way crazier on the dyno than it does from inside the car on the road so I cringe and hope it doesn't pop lol, so far so good
Sitting in the waiting room, listening. It's terrifying.
I mean, it's kind of cool, but I'm hearing the car pushed to limits I usually stop short of, and it's rather nerve-wracking.
I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. I can't WAIT until they get back off of the throttle. It was even worse when I was making pretty big power on a stock (98=weak bolts) block. I usually stand back and try not to look (jinx it) until I hear him release the throttle, and then I can "unclench"
I've had stuff break on the dyno before; but frankly I don't care. They can't hammer on it any worse than I can. The only times it sucks is first time out with a power adder; you get to find faults that you can't push on until the tune is right.
If it's 'sorted' enough I give them keys and tell them to put it off the chip lol. I'd rather it happen there vs me *** deep into 3rd or 4th gear.
What mods do you have? I'm sure it'll be fine. If it's all motor I wouldn't even flinch.
I have seen so many cars burst on the Dyno that I won't do it again. I judge my car by the how many people see my tail lights not my headlights. Because I never run my car to 6500 RPM in 4th gear what I look for is SOTP feel in the 1/4 mile I am shifting into 4th as I cross the line.
Well, no mods, but it's 15 years old and came from down south. Seemed like it wasn't a bad idea to have it done just to give me a baseline. 323.55-hp at the wheels. 328.39-lb. ft. at the wheels. I could not have stood next to it -- I would have popped a hemorrhoid. Talked about some potential mods, but that's going to have to wait a year or two. Got some home projects that have to come first, but I'm going to start a fund. I'm thinking supercharger+borla quad-tip.

Pops
As if a dyno pull is worse than a trip to the track! You've got a launch that's hard on the trans, clutch, and diff, then 3.5 gears of WOT.

Those are some pretty decent baseline numbers. My coupe is a 2000 just like your vert is; I'm encouraged by your results. I'd suggest you look at Corsa or GHL Bullets instead of the Borla, though, unless you like drone.

Those are strong #s for a stock motor. Usually you see 290 -310 or so.

My base was 285 RWHP. 323 after my bolt-ons. But then again, they're just numbers. I love the way it sounds and the way it accelerates after the mods & tune. Money well spent.
