I'm assuming that this is from a 1999? if that's the case, then depending on whether it's an (M) code or (V) code the difference can be substantial. I've seen (V) code ones (with active handling) go for over 2K. The (M) codes will go for a few hundred less. Provided these are both in perfect working condition. Just some advice...take a look at Ebay for relative pricing to give you a ballpark figure.
I just had a new one put on a couple of months ago. The part was 1200.00 and some change. The dealer put it on. But they told me that they can be rebuilt so I kept the old one. So I don't think that they can be worth more than what they cost new..

Is your car a 2001 or newer? Most of those can easily be repaired yourself if you are even slightly mechanically inclined or sent out for around $150. If you have an older car what dealer told you it could be repaired?
It was Art Moran Chevy that told me it can be rebuilt. And it's a 2003 Z06. And I used to like working on cars but not anymore. It's easier just to pay!
